In this article some insights into 25th International Jazz Festival of Malaga and about the city and surroundings.

The XXV Malaga Jazz Festival will feature 13 concerts and projections 7A new edition of the International Jazz Festival of Malaga will be held next November, this time with a strong European flavour and established artists such as jazz trumpeter Roy Hargrove, pianist Randy Weston, soul singer Bettye LaVette and the Portuguese heterodox singer Maria João. The festival is held from November 7th till 13th 2011.

As a new feature at its twenty-fifth edition the Malaga Jazz Festival will present the incorporation of a series of films of directors like Louis Malle, Coppola, Woody Allen, Anthony Mann or Trueba that are strongly related to this genre and in which you can hear soundtracks from 'cool' by Miles Davis to swing, Latin jazz or the echoes of the great guitarist Django Reinhardt.

All concerts will be held at the Cervantes and Echegaray Theatres, while the film projections can be seen at the Movie theatre Albéniz. The schedule is designed in such a way that true fans can attend at the three places consecutively: Albéniz, Cervantes and Echegaray. The latter, as in the previous edition, will be transferred into a jazz club where you can enjoy the concert and a drink.

Tickets can be purchased by phone and Internet, with the exception of tickets for the screenings, which will be by invitation and will be made publicly available soon.
